Why We're called "Throne of Grace Fellowship"
When we chose the name Throne of Grace Fellowship, it wasn’t just to sound nice or spiritual. It came from a deep conviction rooted in Scripture—specifically, Hebrews 4:16:
“Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.”
This verse is the heartbeat of our church. It’s an invitation.
An Invitation to Approach God
We believe God doesn’t want us to keep our distance, hide our mess, or pretend we have it all together. He invites us to come near—just as we are. Not with fear, shame, or hesitation, but with confidence, because of what Jesus has done for us.
A Throne of Grace, Not Judgment
Notice it isn’t called a “throne of judgment” or “throne of condemnation.” It’s a throne of grace. That means God’s posture toward us is one of favor, lovingkindness, and help. Because Jesus took our judgment on Himself, what remains for us is grace—undeserved and freely given.
Mercy and Help in Our Time of Need
We know life is hard. Hebrews 4:16 doesn’t promise freedom from struggle but promises God’s mercy and help exactly when we need it most. We want our church to reflect that truth—a place where people find real support, prayer, forgiveness, and hope.
Our Mission as a Church
Being Throne of Grace Fellowship means we want to be:
1. A church that invites people to draw near to God without fear or shame.
2. A church that celebrates and extends grace—undeserved, unearned favor freely given.
3. A church that helps people find mercy and grace in their time of need, meeting them where they are and pointing them to Jesus.
Our prayer is that anyone who walks through our doors will know they are welcome at God’s throne of grace. No matter their past. No matter their struggles.
If you’re looking for a place to explore faith, find hope, and grow in your relationship with Jesus, we’d love for you to join us. Let’s approach His throne of grace together.
